Height International Basketball Association

The Nation's First

Christian Professional Basketball League

A Gift from God

As the nation's first Christian professional basketball league, Height International Basketball Association (HIBA) is committed to magnifying Christ here on earth to help solve some of the crises we face in the 21st century.

Matthew 28:19-20 reads:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. (NIV)

HIBA's CEO, Bishop David Stewart, Jr., says, "Our goal, as a for-profit Christian company, is to solve the problem that we face around our country which includes a lack of jobs and mass incarceration. We believe God has given an answer to help solve this problem. Height Athletics' comprehensive plan addresses all aspects of community and economic functions with the objective of making and sustaining improvements. Our Comprehensive Development Plan addresses, but is not limited to, economic development, and supporting community and private facilities that provide activities and entertainment. We believe we're on the cutting edge to start a new wave in the private industry through Jesus Christ."

To understand HIBA's growth, Bishop Stewart shares this enlightening story: "
Consider the Chinese Bamboo tree. Two years after it's planting, there are no visible signs of growth. Years three and four... our patience is really tested when we still see absolutely nothing for our hard work. By the fifth year, we start doubting and wondering if we will ever be rewarded for our faith and diligence. Then all of a sudden... behold a miracle of nature!

"The tree pops out of the ground, literally, overnight. Within five to six weeks, it grows 80-90 feet tall and almost 10 inches round. By now, you're thinking, 'Really?!' and three quarters of you are on Google looking up the Chinese Bamboo tree. Let's explain, it didn't just pop out of the ground and grow 80 feet. It took at least five years of building a deep root system to support such a large growth in a short time period. HIBA Christian Pro Basketball League has been digging big, strong, deep roots for over five years. Now is the time to release it to the world."

Bishop Stewart goes on to say, "HIBA means so much to me. In 2003, I lost my baby brother to gun violence. I miss him so much. In 2013, I had dream that my brother and I were out at dinner and he said, 'God told me to tell you He has given you ability and gifts to help a lost and hurting people, so help them big bro.' That's why HIBA means so much to me."

HIBA takes a fully integrated approach to their players’ personal lives, careers, and post-career ambitions. HIBA's goal is to simplify and enhance the lives of our athletes by serving as their primary contact for everything which includes: financial assistance, workout and nutrition regimen, spiritual enrichment as well as addressing lifestyle needs.

We assure and reassure our commitment to our players from the day the relationship begins. We believe in having high integrity, effective communication, and team work. We raise our standards so that our players and staff can see the vision and work to toward a common goal that is beneficial for all.

HIBA is looking for General Managers, coaches, players and more.
